The directorate is responsible for the: development of coffee policies, strategies and corporate plans of the authority; planning function; market intelligence function; monitoring and evaluation function; and statistical research function. It comprises of 4 departments: Planning & Business Development; Market Intelligence; Statistics; and Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Planning & Business Development Department
The department is responsible for the development and management of the Authority’s strategy, and policy analysis and identification of opportunities in the coffee subsector that require strategic intervention by UCDA.
- Market Intelligence department
The Market Intelligence and Information department is responsible for disseminating market related information and carrying out research to inform the stakeholders on which markets to penetrate. Below are the staff of the department;
- Monitoring and Evaluation department
The M & E department is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all UCDA’s programmes and activities to ensure that they are on course as planned. It also monitors and evaluates implementation of the national coffee strategy. Below are the staff of the department;
- Statistics department
The department is responsible for the authority statistical matters on coffee production, prices, exports, imports, coffee consumption, indicator prices, and coffee stocks
